Will your candidate build better homes? Ask them.Your new MP: will they build better homes? Ask them.
Warm in winter, cool in summer, no damp, no mould. Homes like this can be built today, but only if the people we elect commit to it. Check with every candidate in your area: will they build better, or not? It takes two minutes. Thousands of Victorians asked candidates where they stand. Now hold the winners to it: write to your new MPs and add your voice to the pledge.
Anyone can take part. Not sure of your electorate? Look it up with the VEC.

Victorians have pledged for better homes.
Four things we're asking every candidate to commit to
Each one is proven, can be built today, and pays off in health, comfort and lower bills. We're non-partisan, and we'll work with anyone who commits.
Healthy minimum standards for new homes
Change Victoria's building rules so every new home is airtight, well insulated and ventilated with fresh air. Airtightness should be tested, not assumed.
Public housing built to Passivhaus
Every new state-funded social and public home, school and hospital built to the Passivhaus standard, with government leading by example.
Deep retrofits for those who need it most
A funded program to bring existing homes up to standard, starting with renters, older Victorians and low-income households.
Skills for the people who build
Fund training for builders, trades and certifiers so Victoria's workforce can deliver high-performance homes at scale.
Where they stand on better homes
