Want to know more about Passivhaus but can't quite commit to our Certified Courses? APA is excited to have a new way of educating you about the Passivhaus world.

e have designed 6 on-demand short courses that will cover an introduction to Passivhaus & the building standard’s key principles. They are intended for professionals within the built environment who wish to find out about the creation of healthy, comfortable, low-energy and resilient buildings for all Australians to live and work.

Since these short courses are a gateway to what is involved with Passivhaus, this is also an opportunity to refer your clients or contractors who are interested in dipping their toes into Passivhaus. Additionally, successful completion of these courses will count towards CPD points for trade or professional licensing obligations.

Course FAQs

  • At the end of the course, there are 5 assessment questions based on the course content. The learner needs to complete 80% correctly to pass the course and receive a certificate of completion.

  • Courses can be completed in any order, although the recommendation would be to complete the ‘Introduction to Passive House’ first – although this is not compulsory.

  • No, there are no expiry dates. Courses are self-paced and learners can complete them at their own pace.

  • Learners have unlimited opportunities to attempt the assessment questions at the end of the Passivhaus courses.

  • There is no time limitation to complete the assessment, you can even go back a check the content before you submit your answers.
