Mastering Passivhaus Certification Training

Certification is a team effort, and education on the process saves time and money. This course brings project teams onto the same page to get great outcomes.

Course Overview

Achieving certification under The Passivhaus Standard requires detailed design modeling with the Passivhaus Planning Package (PHPP) for The Passivhaus Standard, systematic construction monitoring through photo documentation of key elements, and final verification via blower door testing. The entire process is guided by a certified consultant and verified by an independent certifier who checks all documentation and performance data under The Passivhaus Standard before issuing the final certificate and plaque.

This workshop is aimed at:

  • Designers working with The Passivhaus Standard who are completing their first certification project or are currently in progress.

  • Project teams seeking alignment on The Passivhaus Standard certification process and requirements

In this course, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of:

  • What constitutes an effective certification submission

  • The step-by-step certification process and timeline

  • The responsibilities and scope of a Certified Passivhaus Designer or Consultant

  • Common pitfalls encountered by new practitioners and how to avoid them
