I have always been a major supporter of Passivhaus but have often fought a losing battle to get it across the line on projects. So being able to be part of strategically working to drive change around this in the market through a role on the APA Board is a fantastic opportunity to allow me to support the uptake of Passivhaus and its design principles within our industry in a different way.

My recent involvement in residential development in Australia (and in Sweden) has also brought the importance of improving how we, in a time of a housing crisis, drive how we build better for our future generations to the forefront of my mind. I would love to be able to form part of supporting a transition in this space in Australia.

Lastly, with roots in Sweden, and having grown up in houses that are well aligned with the principles of a Passivhaus I know how much of a difference it makes living in a house that is healthy and comfortable. Having recently gone back and seen how the building code drives a much more efficient outcome I would love to help drive this in Australia too.
